Situation: Your roof has been damaged by hail. Now what?
- Contact Your Insurance Agent
Your insurance agent will advise you as to proper claim procedures and time-frames. In most cases, hail damage will not cause your roof to leak. If your roof does leak, please ensure to inform the agent of the nature and location of the problem/leak areas.
- Ask Your Agent
All insurance companies have preferred contractors who are already certified by them. Ask them if they would recommend Empire Roofing?
- Do Not Feel Rushed Into Replacing Your Roof Immediately
Wait For Your Insurance Adjuster - Do not sign any contracts until you have received final adjustment from your insurance company. Again, most roofs will not leak due to hail damage; therefore, it is not necessary to have your roof replaced immediately.
- Do Not Shop For the Best Deal - Check With Insurance Company As To Final Payment Procedures
A roofing system is a complex combination of quality materials matched with quality workmanship. In addition, some insurance companies will not pay more than the amount shown on the final invoice from roofing contractors.
- Submit Final Invoice To Insurance Company
Various insurance companies process claims differently. If the insurance company has held back monies until the job has been completed, simply forward the final invoice as received from the roofing contractor.
